November 2025 marks seven years since we founded StrikingWeb. What started in November 2018 as a small team building WordPress sites and Shopify stores has grown into a full-service technology company delivering enterprise-grade solutions across web development, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning, and e-commerce.
Each year, we take a moment to reflect on the journey, acknowledge the team and clients who made it possible, and share what we have learned. Year seven has been our biggest yet — in revenue, in team growth, in the complexity and impact of the projects we deliver, and in the breadth of industries we serve.
The Year in Numbers
Some highlights from the past twelve months:
- Team growth — We expanded our team significantly, adding senior engineers, AI specialists, DevOps architects, and project managers. Our team now spans multiple countries and time zones, enabling us to deliver around the clock.
- Projects delivered — We shipped over 40 projects this year, ranging from rapid e-commerce builds to multi-year enterprise platform development engagements.
- Enterprise clients — We onboarded several large enterprise clients in healthcare, financial services, and logistics — a milestone that reflects the maturity of our processes and delivery capabilities.
- AI practice growth — Our AI and machine learning practice grew substantially, driven by demand for production AI systems, not just experiments.
- Client retention — We maintained a client retention rate above 90%, which we consider our most important metric. Clients stay because we deliver results.
New Capabilities We Added This Year
Enterprise AI and MLOps
The biggest capability expansion this year was in AI and machine learning. We built out a dedicated AI engineering team capable of taking projects from strategy and data assessment through model development, deployment, and ongoing operations. This is not about building demos — it is about deploying AI systems that run reliably in production and deliver measurable business value.
We have worked on projects including computer vision systems for quality inspection, natural language processing pipelines for document analysis, recommendation engines for e-commerce personalization, and predictive analytics for operational optimization.
Platform Engineering
We expanded our cloud and DevOps capabilities into full platform engineering — building internal developer platforms that give engineering teams self-service access to infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability tools. This capability is particularly valuable for our enterprise clients who are modernizing their development practices.
Industry-Specific Solutions
We deepened our expertise in healthcare technology (HIPAA-compliant platforms, telemedicine, clinical data integration), financial services (secure transaction processing, regulatory compliance, fintech platforms), and logistics (supply chain visibility, route optimization, warehouse management systems).
Lessons from Year Seven
Technology Choices Matter Less Than Execution
After seven years and hundreds of projects, we have learned that the technology stack matters far less than disciplined execution. React vs Vue, AWS vs Azure, monolith vs microservices — these choices are important, but they are secondary to clear requirements, solid engineering practices, thorough testing, and effective communication with stakeholders.
Invest in People and Processes
Our best investment this year was not in any technology — it was in developing our people and refining our processes. We invested heavily in engineering mentorship, structured code review practices, and project management frameworks that scale across time zones and team sizes.
"Great technology is built by great teams. Our job is to create an environment where talented engineers can do their best work."
Long-Term Partnerships Beat One-Off Projects
The most rewarding and impactful work we do is with long-term partners — clients we work with over months and years, where we deeply understand their business, their users, and their technical landscape. These partnerships allow us to make architectural decisions with confidence, plan for the long term, and deliver compounding value over time.
What Comes Next
Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities in front of us. We are expanding our AI capabilities to include agentic AI systems that can automate complex business workflows. We are investing in our platform engineering practice to help more enterprises modernize their development infrastructure. And we are continuing to deepen our industry expertise in healthcare, financial services, and government technology.
We are also investing in our own tools and frameworks — internal libraries, component systems, and deployment templates that allow us to deliver higher quality work faster for every client.
Thank You
Seven years is a meaningful milestone, but we are just getting started. Thank you to our clients who trust us with their most important technology initiatives. Thank you to our team members, past and present, who bring their talent, dedication, and creativity to every project. And thank you to the broader technology community whose open-source contributions, blog posts, and conference talks make all of our work possible.
If you are looking for a technology partner who combines deep technical expertise with genuine commitment to your business outcomes, we would love to hear from you. Here is to the next seven years.
